2010 US CENSUS
![]()
Goodrich ISD encourages everyone to please participate in the upcoming 2010 US Census. As of April 29, 2010, Goodrich responses were lagging with only 41 percent participation, down from 52 percent in 2000. Beginning May 1, 2010, census workers will begin going door-to-door to households that failed to mail back their forms. If you did not return the census form, a census worker will visit your home in person to ensure we accurately count each person in the country. Census workers are your neighbors – people from your community, hired by the census Bureau, to go door-to-door and collect census information from residents. Please cooperate with the census workers to ensure an accurate count of our community. Each time a census worker visits your home, he or she will leave a door hanger that has a phone number on it you can call to schedule a visit and be counted.
For more help with your census form call 866-872-6868 or click on the links above.
Results from the 2010 Census will be used to help each community get its fair share of government funds for our schools, highways, health facilities, and many other programs you and your neighbors need. Without a complete, accurate census, our community may not receive its fair share. When you complete your census form, you're making a statement about what resources our community needs going forward.
