Goodrich ISD wants to give a shoutout to our two terrific coaches on National Coaches Day! Coach King and Coach Johnson have been coaching for a total of 79 years between the two of them, and have collectively won 1,948 games! Coach Johnson, a Goodrich alumnus, herself, credits former teacher Maxine Duff and Coach Bruce Evans with inspiring her to become a coach. With mottos of Hard Work and All Together We Can!, our Goodrich coaches continue the legacy of training the next generation of athletes. Thanks for your dedication, coaches, to Goodrich ISD!

Goodrich Elementary Hornets "colored the Pirates" last week for Spirit Day when the Lady Hornets took on the Leggett Pirates in volleyball. Winning the most spirited group at the elementary school, 4th- and 5th-grade Hornets proudly sport their yellow color and face paint!

Whether they are breaking down data to see where improvements can be made in the classroom in a "Hornet Fly-By" with teachers, instructional coaches and administrators, or they are working to make sure the district remains connected with hardware and infrastructure to tap the educational resources of the World Wide Web, like our district IT Coordinator, Mr. Noriega, our Goodrich staff is looking daily to improve the educational opportunities for our students behind the scenes.

First 6 weeks grading period has come to an end. Our awards ceremony will be held Friday the 21st at 1pm in the auditorium. Hope to see you there. Invitations will be sent home Tuesday.
