Due to continued flooding anticipated overnight and an already-increased flow rate monitored by the Trinity River Authority, Goodrich ISD will have a 2-hour delayed start tomorrow, January 25, 2024. We will continue to monitor conditions into the morning.

Due to a power outage resulting in a frozen water main last night, which has affected multiple campuses, Goodrich ISD will be closed today, January 17, 2024. We are working diligently to restore operations. Thank you.

Good afternoon, Goodrich ISD! We will have a two-hour delayed start of school tomorrow, January 17. Buses will run two hours later than normal to allow our operations team time to assess conditions and ready the facilities for students by the 9:50 a.m. start time. Be safe; see you soon!

Our recent board meeting was well-attended by student-athlete representatives from the bi-district champion volleyball team and the regional and state cross country teams, where they were recognized by our Goodrich trustees for a job well done. Students also practiced their communication skills as they introduced themselves to our board members. Our Goodrich paraprofessionals, through both their words and their actions, continue to inspire our Goodrich students to go further and do better for themselves! Today we are celebrating Mrs. Pond's college ring ceremony, indicating that she has advanced to the "upper class" in her pursuit of her university degree. Meanwhile, at a neighboring university, a bachelor's degree has been conferred upon Mrs. Reyes. Congratulations to these two hard-working ladies! Way to represent Goodrich! ¡Nuestros paraprofesionales de Goodrich, tanto a través de sus palabras como de sus acciones, continúan inspirando a nuestros estudiantes de Goodrich a ir más allá y hacerlo mejor por sí mismos! Moments ago Goodrich ISD received this notification from the Texas Education Agency's Chief Safety Officer regarding an apparent hoax that is being sent out to several Texas school districts. Goodrich ISD has not received any such email messages to this effect, but we wanted to advise parents of this TEA communication. As always, the safety of our students is a top priority. Thank you. "Good morning,  Many districts statewide have received emails containing bomb threats that appear to originate from Russia...and the emails appear to be a hoax. We will provide additional information as it becomes available. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.  John P.
