At last night's board meeting, in honor of School Board Appreciation Month, staff and students recognized our school board members.

Goodrich ISD bid farewell to two outstanding employees as they "rock into retirement" in the rocking chairs gifted to them by the district. Mr. and Mrs. Hare were honored with a wonderful turnout of family, friends, and colleagues who gathered to show their support and share heartfelt memories. Superintendent Daniel Barton asked the Hares to leave us with a piece of advice, and they encouraged everyone to invest not only in finances but also in people—especially students, as they are our future. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Hare. You will be deeply missed.
Goodrich ISD se despidió de dos empleados excepcionales que "se jubilaron" en las mecedoras que les regaló el distrito. El Sr. y la Sra. Hare fueron homenajeados con una maravillosa asistencia de familiares, amigos y colegas que se reunieron para mostrar su apoyo y compartir recuerdos emotivos. At last night's regular board meeting, the board recognized the athletes who participated in fall sports. Our volleyball team earned the distinction of bi-district finalists, while both the boys' and girls' cross country teams were recognized as regional finalists. Congratulations to all the athletes!
The board also took a moment to honor Mrs. Deanne Hare, congratulating her on her retirement and thanking her for her dedicated service to Goodrich ISD and her 30 years of commitment to education. Congratulations, Mrs. Hare—we will miss you!

At last night's meeting, the Board recognized the members of the newly-formed Elementary Student Council. Additionally, Ag teacher Hannah Kelso spoke about one of her students advancing to the area level in Creed Speaking. It was an exciting and proud moment for both the students and staff involved.
