This is just a reminder that Monday, April 7th, is a staff development day. We will see students back on Tuesday, April 8th.
The first Friday in April is designated Texas Fruit and Vegetable Day in public schools. Thank you to our amazing Child Nutrition staff for educating our students on the importance of fruit and vegetables and encouraging them to enjoy fresh, local produce!

At our regular board meeting on March 20, 2025, the board recognized the accomplishments of the Welding students, One Act Play, International Club, and Art students. Additionally, Kayla Scott was sworn in as a new board member of the Goodrich ISD Board.

On February 19-20, 2025, our Superintendent, Daniel Barton, and Board Members, Julie Mack and Timothy Harrell, participated in the Texas Association of Midsize Schools (TAMS) and Texas Association of Rural Schools (TARS) Day at the Capitol in Austin. This important event provided an opportunity for superintendents and board members to engage in advocacy training and meet with state legislators to discuss issues pertinent to midsize and rural schools.
We appreciate their leadership and commitment to ensuring our district’s voice is heard at the state level.
Join us as we we celebrate the dedication and hard work of our school resource officers, who help create a safe and supportive environment for students and staff. Thank you for your commitment to keeping our schools secure and fostering positive relationships within the community!
